Our Commitment to Safety

At Central Texas Beauty College, we are committed to the safety of our students, our staff, our salon customers and the general public in our communities. We are here to provide quality education and are making every effort we can to best ensure your safety. Make note that there are no guarantees of safety, so you must make your own decisions about your exposure outside of your home. However, we’re doing what we can to create a safe environment that helps promote the safety of our schools and communities.

Before opening, our facilities have undergone extensive cleaning and disinfection. We have also provided additional training to our staff and students on proper ways to control infection by adding extra precautions and cleaning procedures. We have also instituted the following policies to help in the fight against viruses and for the continued health of those entering our facilities:

General Procedures

  • All staff and students receive Barbercide(R) training including COVID-19 certification and infection control certification.
  • Increased cleaning and disinfection procedures instituted for all facilities.
  • Periodic Professional Indoor Wet Fog Treatment of Our Facilities. EPA approved service that provide an antimicrobial disinfectant deep cleaning and claimed to kill 99.9% of germs. This is done throughout our indoor facilities on all surfaces.
  • We reserve the right to decline entry or services to any student, employee or client that exhibits signs of illness.
  • Use of masks for staff and students.
  • Extensive hand washing by all staff before and after all services are provided.
  • Sanitizing stations offered at the reception area and other commonly touched areas.
  • If we are alerted to a presumptive case of COVID-19 on our property, we will follow appropriate protocol actions recommended by health organizations or the government.
  • All CTBC staff and students are required to report to their manager if they have presumed contact with anyone testing positive or showing symptoms of COVID-19, or if they have shown any symptoms of COVID-19 themselves.
  • Posting of health and hygiene reminders throughout our facilities.

Salon Services

For the reopening of our salon services, we have taken the following steps to make sure our facility is safe and hygienic.

  • Cleaned and/or disinfected all surfaces and implements
  • Washed and/or disinfected all capes and towels
  • Removed any non-essential items
  • Use of masks is required  and/or gloves when necessary
  • Re-trained our salon team on essential infection control and hygiene practices

We are also continually providing:

  • Services by appointment only, which must be made the day of the appointment. Staggered appointments to promote distancing and to provide time for cleaning.
  • Limited capacity in the salon to ensure distancing.
  • No group services offered.
  • Single use of gloves and use of disposable capes when cleaned and disinfected capes are not available.
  • No-contact with customers at greeting including discontinuing practice of hand shaking. Limited contact as much as possible during service.
