The Team

Mr. Painter, the Founder of Central Texas Beauty College, graduated from the Chicago Beauty College of Waco in 1951, and earned a BBA in Marketing from UT Austin. Mr. Painter spent most of his life in the cosmetology profession, receiving advanced cosmetology styling training and owning several beauty salons. He always enjoyed working with students, instructors and clients in building this amazing profession.

Mrs. Painter graduated from Michael’s University of Beauty Culture in 1967, and has been a cosmetologist for over 50 years. She has managed a salon for 23 years, worked as a Cosmetology instructor for Temple High School in addition to being the VP at Central Texas Beauty College. Mrs. Painter prepares students for the State Board exams. No student has failed the practical state board exam after training with Mrs. Painter. She strongly believes in continuing education, and encourages students and staff to attend the Armstrong McCall World’s Fair in the Fall and the International Congress of Esthetics in the spring.

Jennifer Painter is the President of CTBC and Director of our Round Rock campus. She assists students with admissions and financial aid. Ms. Painter received her manicuring license in 1989 and put herself through college doing nails. She later received a law degree from Fordham University College of Law and is admitted to the Bar in New York and Texas. She joined the family business in 2010 to assist her father, and never went back to law. Jennifer realized that cosmetology gives us the opportunity to make people feel good about themselves every day, which is a daily affirmation of the positive impact we have in this career and in life.

Edith Ingalsbe

Edith Ingalsbe is the Director of Central Texas Beauty College in Temple. She received her Cosmetology License and her Instructor’s License in 1984, and began working in the field. Edith spent 6 years as a stylist before promotion to salon manager. She grew her salon to over 1 million in sales before retiring in 2009. She was a Phase One instructor at Central Texas Beauty College before becoming director of the school. She has since received a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M, Commerce, and is working on completion of her Masters in Accounting. Edith’s passion remains working in the beauty industry and helping future students find their passion fulfilling their dreams.

Ms. Benitez graduated from beauty school while she was still in high school. She worked in salons, raised a family, then went back to school to obtain her Instructor’s license. Ms. Benitez joined the staff at Central Texas Beauty College in 2005. She started teaching Senior Theory and working the clinic floor in 2009. Ms. Benitez is a color specialist, but she specializes in men’s haircutting techniques and has a passion for all nail services. She is the Lead Floor Instructor, teaches Phase One Nails and is Theory Instructor for our manicuring program.

Larry Groseclose

Mr. Groseclose found his career passion later in life in Hair Design. He graduated from beauty school in 2006 and worked as an apprentice in a Redken Elite Salon. Mr. Groseclose is a certified Redken Specialist and a Master Specialist, with special training in hair color and advanced cutting techniques. He returned to school in 2013 to earn his Instructor License. Mr. Groseclose has worked as a Phase One instructor since 2014 teaching the basics for hair design, cutting, color applications and formulations. Larry still works behind the chair to keep his skills current and continues to do wigs for the theater.

Minunette Parker is a Floor Instructor at Central Texas Beauty College in Temple. She attended Central Texas Beauty College where she received her cosmetology license. Minunette worked in the hair industry for several years before opening her own salon in 2011. She went back to CTBC where she received her instructor license. Minunette is a strong believer in continued education. She has and continues to travel the world attending cosmetology classes and seminars. Her passion is teaching and seeing new cosmetologist succeed. As a salon owner and instructor Minunette’s passion continues to grow.

My name is Jennifer Gross referred to as ” Ms. Renee” born in New Orleans, LA . I moved to Texas in 2005, where I first started my career in Houston, TX and received my Cosmetology License in 2007 along with my Barber Crossover in 2020. In 2007 I was employed at Regis owned Smart Styles where I started as a Stylist and became a Salon Manger within two months of employment. Now currently the founder of J Renee Fashion Fab Salon and School NOW Beauty Non-Profit Organization started in 2020 birth from Round Rock, TX. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great organizations like Kuts 4 Kids, Safe Allegiance, Harlem 125, J Charles Bridal based out New Orleans, LA, along with Kings Productions ( Theatrical) also Team Nominated for the Ida Payne Awards also currently continue 7 years. I’ve Managed and Educated in salons since 2007 and have worked with CTBC since 2020. I love and enjoy what teaching has to offer.

Amber Melton was a Student at CTBC multiple times. She first did the manicuring course at CTBC in 2007 and had a long successful career as a Nail Tech working in different salons and Spas. She decided to go back to school in 2021 to expand her education and did the full cosmetology program and started the instructor program after graduating. She works in the salon part time and spends the rest of her time as a Nail Instructor at CTBC Round Rock. She loves bringing her experience to the classroom and mentoring and encouraging future business owners.

Linda Alcocer

Linda Alcocer is the Instructor for the Barbering, Cosmetology and Esthetician programs. Linda graduated in 1973 from A&C Beauty College with her license in Cosmetology. She later returned to A&C for her Instructor’s license in 1975. She was fortunate enough to be trained by the owner and legend in cosmetology, Ms. Audi Nall. In 1998, she received her Double Master Educator’s seal from the Texas Cosmetology Commission, where she has spent several years collaborating with the TCC creating State Board Testing, as well as proctoring the testing. Throughout her many years in cosmetology, Linda has trained with programs such as Judith Sands Skincare, Pevonia, Dermalogica and Glycolique.
In 1976, Linda received her Master Styling certification from JCPenney Salons. In the early 1980s, Linda received her Master Colorist certification under Redken. In the late 1990s, she had the exciting
opportunity to train with Paul Mitchell under John Paul Dejoria himself. Linda has two adult children, 4 grandchildren and 2 dogs of her own and 4 grand dogs to keep her home life fun.
