The Team
Robert O. Painter founded Central Texas Beauty College in 1983 with a vision of providing hands-on, career-focused education that would prepare students for long-term success in the beauty industry. Throughout his career, he believed that a quality education could change lives, opening doors to opportunity, financial independence, personal growth, and meaningful careers.
As an educator and entrepreneur, Robert was known for his high standards, strong work ethic, and genuine commitment to his students. He believed beauty professionals should graduate with not only excellent technical skills, but also the professionalism, integrity, and confidence needed to build lasting careers. His leadership established the foundation for the culture of excellence and student-centered education that continues to define CTBC today.
Robert’s legacy lives on through the thousands of graduates whose lives were impacted by his vision and through the dedicated faculty who continue his mission every day. One lesson he shared often was simple: He believed success begins with showing up, day after day, with commitment, consistency, and a willingness to learn. More than four decades after founding CTBC, that philosophy continues to guide the school and inspire future generations of beauty professionals.
